I havent been feeling well today so Im a little late to this party, but I still want to get my plug in for two amazing organizations making a difference in the lives of children in foster care. As Im sure most everyone knows, today is Orphan Sunday. Whether youve been thinking about it for some time, or maybe just heard about some of the ways to give back this Sunday, there are two programs right here in NWA that are doing great things for foster children and are always looking for those who are willing to help. For those who are interested in fostering, consider the therapeutic foster care program at Ozark Guidance as an alternative to traditional foster parenting. It is a unique, rewarding experience and TFC kids need foster parents just as desperately as any other child. For those interested in volunteering their time, please consider CASA of NWA. Becoming an advocate, and helping a child to navigate the chaos of foster care is such a worthwhile endeavor.
