I havent given many status reports on my writing this month. I figure its overdue. Unfortunately, I dont have much to report. I started some legal paperwork to set my self-publishing enterprise up as a business. That required notarizing some documents, which I did a while ago (see my September 28 posting). Unfortunately that paperwork was rejected by the county because of an error with the notarization (the notary supposedly signed his name on the wrong line) so that process is starting over from square one. Then theres the actual novel Im prepping to self-publish. Im still prepping it, but my time working on it has been slowed these past few days because allergies (I have yet to figure out what Im allergic to; my mother thinks its mold from the fall leaves) have strained my eyesight somewhat, reducing the amount of time I can effectively work in front of my computer before I cant read the edits any more. Thereve been other issues distracting me as well (we had a home maintainence issue requiring a plumber (guess who always deals with the plumber), I now have two different people trying to do my book cover (I didnt like the direction my brother was going with it and hired another one; then I THINK my brother figured out what the problem I was having with his cover was, and decided to continue his cover project to give me another option) who both frequently have questions I need to answer (questions which may actually affect descriptions used in the book), and a whole host of lesser things from real life that tend to pile up on me in clumps. So... yeah. Things have been moving, but theres been a lot of just spinning my wheels this month, so there hasnt really been much to report. (I thought all of this would have been done a couple weeks ago, worst case scenario. Sigh. Why does everything always take so much longer than I think it ill?)
