I havent gone to faire to simply play in years. After the full on Ren Prod events I just dont usually have the energy to drive down anywhere, do anything but sleep, or spend time with my horse, the dogs or just for playing around the GV area. So, it was a great surprise to me how much I was looking forward to going to the Visalia Renaissance Faire and more importantly, simply playing. And what a splendid time I had! I relished the few hours I spent with Pat Reule just chatting, comparing producer notes, hanging out. Seeing Stephen Moore was a major treat. I did not expect him at the faire and it was good to see him, even if for a short while. Ive not had much time to hang out with Charlie Andrews but it was wonderful to see him again and wish him a happy birthday in person. Knights of Mayhem show was fantastic as ever. Stacey Anne and Mike Edwards just warm my hearts. Each of these is a family member in their own right and always near and dear to my heart. So, Im happy to have had a chance for at least the short warm hugs and few words with each. The after hours was fantastic. Having so many of Ren Prod people working the show made me so proud of our family. Dancing, playing with everyone at night was a major highlight. It was good to leave the producer hat at home and just enjoy. And all this because of the Peanuts. Kat Brown, Vonnie Galusha, Molly Peanuts, Pam King who knew that I needed a weekend away, a weekend where I needed to just play, be myself: fun, cheerful, mischievous me. It was a good weekend. Im back home now, getting ready for Valhalla Renaissance Faire, working away on KNeWORLD, prepping for the fun at Tahoe with my Guild. Looks like I will have some amazing people at the event with me and Im planning on playing hardcore at the show... as a number of characters both of high ranks and low. Im going to try to some new things, stretch my wings and see if I can live up to the challenge Im setting myself. James Shattuck and April Isme as well as Cody will be working with me as my assistants at Tahoe and hopefully beyond. You will be hearing from them and me soon. I guess I should brief them first, right? Hugs and misses to all... and the best to each and every one of you...
