I havent made it to get a newspaper yet... So can someone PLEASE fill me in on whats the deal with the trees downtown? All I know is there was a $50,000 donation to beautify downtown, and today I come in and see that they are KILLING and removing every single tree on Main Street in downtown. Literally unearthing and killing these perfectly healthy, oxygen producing, plants that are vital to a beautiful city and clean air. WTF?!?!?!?!?! Im shocked! Unless these trees are sick, why on earth would they be destroyed, dismembered, and cut down to pieces? I read the Lorax way too many times as a kid, and there is never just cause for destroying such creation. I REALLY hope the story proves me wrong, because I can not justify in my head why on earth these trees would be uprooted and murdered. :/ Its such a sad view in downtown... and I can hear the trees screaming over here.
