I havent posted on here for quite some time, and I should not have waited this long to express my gratitude again. I adopted a Miniature Pinscher in July of last year sweetly named Sassy, now known as Sassafras. This little girl is an angel sent from Heaven. I suffered a severe head injury right after I adopted Sassy. I couldnt walk straight, I stuttered with every syllable I attempted to get out......basically, I reverted back to being a child. I left my townhouse and moved to my parents house for 3 months just to gather myself again. I remember migraines, sickness, and a lot of emotional pain after this injury. The most amazing thing is that Sassafras was always there. I would wake up sick, but she was always right next to me, licking my temples like everything was going to be alright. Sassafras didnt leave my side for months, and she continues to amaze me. I moved to Texas this past January. To this day my baby girl still sleeps by my side and refuses to leave if she knows I am hurting. I have used Sassy as a therapy dog multiple times now because of her intuition. Sassafras shows more love and compassion than a lot of people I have met. Southside SPCA, you are amazing. There is no way that I can thank you enough for giving me my sweet Sassy. She has affected many lives because of the love she has in her heart, and I believe that is because you rescued her from being euthanized. When this little girl looks at me, there is something that seeps from her soul saying Thank you. I had an angel watching over me when I signed the adoption papers. Sassafras says Hi! I have attached a photo as an update. Thank you....again and again.
