I havent wrote poetry in a long while, but some things were on my mind, so I let it flow yesterday.... The brightest star gives life and light With the whole world in its sight And while the moon reflects this light It paves a path for us at night. Its the yin and yang of our creation Struggling to uphold our nation With our increased ignorance, Life is such bliss Our Earth is melting Give her one last kiss And with your last breath And a tear in your eye Dont turn to me and ask me why Cause its in our hands To return the love With whats been given from above Dont make excuses But make an effort By bringing together All thats separate Build a connection And pass it along Care for the world And right some wrongs Its not too late To make a change Thoughts arent hard to rearrange So create ideas To grow and learn And ignite that flame and let it burn! Its time to rediscover and renew The passion that lives inside of you Gain knowledge of your purpose And strive to do your best Because this could be The universal test Take good care of what cares for you So that the circle of life will continue! -Alicia Garcia
