I hear it every day, I just need to lose 5-10 more pounds. The truth is, most people dont need to lose any more, they need to gain more, more lean muscle. Gaining lean muscle requires specific nutrition and exercise that regulates our hormones to allow us to burn fat, in most cases, in the hips, thighs and stomach. Calories have almost nothing to do with this equation. Control your hormones with proper food and training, not exercise, and you will get rid of that unwanted visceral fat and gain a more toned lean look. Your body cannot discern the difference between what calories are being burned rendering the calories in and calories out useless. Eat proper foods and train as opposed to somewhat eating healthy and exercising to burn calories. The difference does show.
