I hear journalists this, brown envelope this, Sanjika Palace that! What is wrong with someone giving someone something? If I were there, I would have gladly recieved the K50, 000 and moved on with my daily routines stirred up with extra bravado and objectivity. Or am I missing something here? Did the money come with specific instructions ordering my fellow honourable scribes NEVER to write anything negative about the president and his government? Come on folks, stop playing God. How many times have you, the moral custodians and all of you with a horier than thou attitude, have gotten yourself money or indeed anything through other means than the straight-forward way? Stop the pretence. Munakakhala inu mukanatani? Ena ainu mumadya ku maliro kwa munthu oti munkadana naye ali moyo! Youre here condemning Journalists for being paid to attend a press conference or was it an interface that that never was? Is it not the same journalists who have told you about the brown envelopes? Wait until you see a change in the way Journalists will operate. But I can challenge you, even if it was a million Kwacha, the media would not stop bashing Mutharika and his clueless government.
