I hear my sister Camille, I read her story and this is what I have - TopicsExpress

I hear my sister Camille, I read her story and this is what I have to say about it. I went to two New York City Colleges, the first New York Technical College and the other John Jay College of Criminal Justice. When I went to Tech. I was considered too Black and Proud and for it I received a nice ten year academic dismissal. Because I am an Artist and no one could tell me that my brand of Art was a failing work, so I argued a lot with my White professors who disagreed with me strongly. I have had so much of my work stolen by them that I know they were liars, they just wanted me to feel less than who I am. But it did not work I continue my work as an artist to this day and have passed my talents down to my grand children who are living lovely because of their talents. I have had many offers for my work but refuse to sell, it is for my own personal gratification that I paint and draw not for any ones approval or disapproval. I then after ten years went to College for academic purposes only and the 21 credits in Art I had earned stayed with me, I took a few art classes which I made all A,B, and one C in. But I excelled in my classes, because I wanted to show them that I was an African and an excellent student. I wore my African attire every day in fact Dean Witherspoon used to complement me on it just because I defied the idea of being the Black Girl Ashamed of who she is. I strutted my stuff and I graduated Cumladie of the class of 1999 from John Jay. I never back peddled or postulated for whites, I watched my family do that in Mississippi growing up and vowed I would go to college and not ever have to bow and scrape for my employment in this slave society or spend my money where I was not treated with equal respect as any other paying customer. Because the color of my money IS GREEN NOT BLACK and I know the science behind the dollar. Because while I could not get into another college I should get into business school where I learned the economics of THE AMERICAN DOLLAR, and what EQUATABLE VALUE IS. This is why I am saying to you my Sisters and my Brothers. TAKE YOUR MONEY OUT THE BANKS, IT IS EARNING VERY LITTLE INTERESTS ANY WAY. These days you are lucky to make money from the small amount they give but they make Billions a day,off of investing our money. We dig our own graves sometimes by not looking at the reality of things. There is no way that we are the 95% and we move the most capital in this society and our money does not have a BIG VOICE. I say let the Money do the Talking as we are Walking with it out the banks.
