I heard a terrible interview on NPR today. Some expert spoke about the black emblem of IS(IS). He analyzed the Islamic symbols on the banner, and likened it to a Muslim swastika. The interviewer (I dont know his name) ran with that statement, saying, so its like the Nazis using an ancient symbol..., to which the expert agreed and...I turned off the radio. TERRIBLE REPORTING. First off, if IS was truly like the Nazis, then we wouldnt have any problem with them. Wed encourage them, like we did the Nazis, to attack communists or support Franco in Spain. And if they had beheaded journalists, the U.S. would have just claimed something about Stalinism, or some other crap. Lastly, this makes me sad because I spent the whole day with children who are Muslims, and theyre not Nazis, nor is their religion. I would take them over a church full of Christians ANYDAY. Besides, I can sit here all day and make better comparisons to the symbols of Christianity and Nazism, than Islam.
