I heard from a friend that there are a few groups on facebook where people will help you out when you are in need so here it goes .... I am a mother of a 3 year old boy with another one (possibly 2) on the way. My boyfriend and father of my children was given 2 weeks off work unpaid for the holidays. Because of this we have fallen behind on our rent which after late fees and a new month added on is a total of $879 and because we could not afford the $300 deposit for regular electricity we are on prepaid lights and our lights ran out yesterday during the coldest week of this winter so far. If that wasnt the worst of it, my food stamps do not come in until the middle of the month and we just ran out of food because I only got half of my food stamp balance last month and because of the unpaid time off my boyfriend was given. I guess what im trying to say is that ive never had to reach out to anybody for this kind of help but the position im in ihave tp do whats right for my children. It probably wouldnt be this bad of a situation but because my vans transmission broke down about 2 monthes ago we have really had no transportation or any way to get out and help ourselves. We dont really know anyone out here and im down to my wits end so really the internet has been my last hope. I hate to sound like a sob story, ive always been able to help myself but this is a difficult situation to be in and I dont know what else to do. If anyone knows anyone that could help me I really would appreciate any kind of assistance. At the very least thank you for reading this all the way through and at least keep me in your prayers.
