I heard it said that we take a breath 40,000 times a day. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but if it is true, then I’m sure behind in thanking God for the ability to breathe! There are so many blessings that are received from God every day, which are taken for granted. Not only the way the body works but also the way life is lived today. Psalm 26:7 states, “That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all the wondrous works.” Tell of God’s works with thankfulness the Bible instructs. During a day, the thought of thanking God may not even be there many times, let alone telling others how thankful to God you are for all the great things He has done. Take a minute right now and think about the amount of times you were able to take a breath today, and you didn’t even have to think about how to take the next breath. I just marvel at all the things that God enables all people to do at the same time. He truly blesses His people. How many times have we thanked God for the green grass, and for that matter, all the different shades of green? The blue sky, the flowers and just everyday things that are blessings. Let’s take another minute and think of other things for which we have not thanked God. We should never forget to thank Him for the family He has given to you. In some cases, you may not think that they are the best but God has given them to us. If you look at them through God’s eyes, I know that you will find the good in them. When you start doing that, you’ll be surprised at how grateful you become for the family you have. Try it, you might be surprised at what God will show you concerning them. You are loved very much.
