I heard something in the news about The Girl Scouts banning the word bossy or boss to describe members because it causes issues amongst female peer groups. Apparently a study was done that suggested young girls who take up leadership roles and are opinionated are hated by other women and unfriended. I say we address those female insecurities before banning the word boss to be applied and used in association with women. I hope we all do grow up to be bosses someday. In the real world there will always be female leadership. Sadly I think our culture tends to encourage women to destroy each other and deflect their insecurities upon more successful women.
