I heard unusual noise from some birds on a palm tree behind the office building. The kind of noise that signals danger. Not the sound one can say the birds are singing. If i were in my rural home, the first thing that would come to my mind is a snake. Birds are good in sighting them. When i looked through the window, my first sight was of two Black Necked Doves. The high pitched alarm noise was from a species of a Sparrow . Then i saw this Owl, almost camouflaged on the palm tree. Were it not for its large dark eyes, i wont have noticed easily. I have never seen it during the day. It is a nocturnal bird. I expected it to bounce on one of the birds, but the waiting was in vain. I wondered why the doves were so calm, unperturbed by its presence. Perhaps the owl new, an attack during daylight was not worth it. I only managed a few shots for my consolation. People say,to see it in daylight-being a rare sight-, is a sign of bad omen- Senator Kawjang passing came to mind. May he RIP. I never knew this bird was such beautiful. Good day friends.
