I hesitate to wade into this discussion of insurance and birth - TopicsExpress

I hesitate to wade into this discussion of insurance and birth control and corporations, but here goes (not that all of you do not already know where I stand...) I am very happy my Supreme Court ruled in favor of life. However, I am concerned that the family run corporation in question only blocked payment of four abortifacients. To my way of thinking, almost all - and I say this because I am not sure which ones might not - chemical birth control methods are abortifacients. Furthermore, this is a discussion about life with many many ramifications. 1) These chemicals have long term detrimental health effects for women and girls. This is not life. 2) Multinational companies producing them seemingly have a different set of standards for Third World women and girls. This is not life. 3) I hesitate to state this. Statistics I have read seem to indicate a determined marketing campaign for these products to those living in poverty. This is not life. How much toxic waste does it take to sully a glass of clear, cold water?
