I hold the same position on this with egbon Richard Akinnola II who writes: I disagree with Rev. Father Mbaka. Though l am a Buhari supporter but l denounce the use of the pulpit to campaign for a party or candidate. What Father Mbaka did few days ago at Enugu, campaigning for Buhari from the pulpit, was an abuse of the pulpit. Societal and political malfeasance can be confronted from the pulpit but not to use the pulpit to campaign for a candidate for an election or a political party. The same way l deprecated in strong terms, the despicable tirade by one pastor Bosun Emmanuel, using the pulpit of a Redeemed church, to launch an attack against the APC and campaigning for GEJ. Rather, you should call a press conference and campaign for your preferred candidate, instead of using the pulpit. That is an abuse of the pulpit and this is without prejudice to my UNALLOYED SUPPORT for Buhari. What is wrong is wrong. Period.
