I honestly have serious issues with the Saudi clerics who claim that it women cannot drive for Islamic reasons. In Saudi it is permitted for a woman to ride with a driver, who is technically a stranger to her, and ISLAMICALLY speaking she should not be riding in the car alone with him without her "mahram" those men in her family who are supposed to be with her, YET it is "abhorred and haram" for her to drive herself and her children everywhere! It is ok for some drivers to drive the little girls and rape them or harm the little boys by raping them too, yet a woman should be dependent on a man regardless of who that man is! I day stop claiming things in the name of Islam!
