I hope I live long enough to see a day where society finally puts the education and safety of children first, where people can love whoever they want to love, marry whoever they want to marry, and have happy families and homes to feel safe in. I hope I live to see a time where people will broaden their horizons to what is possible as inhabitants of a beautiful planet that needs to be protected and preserved -- to see beyond our limited scope to what lies beyond. I am tired of hearing people quibble over small details in ancient texts to justify this or that personal bias, only to miss the beauty of the broader message. I am tired of living in period of small minds. I am tired of a world where a privileged few exploit the masses for personal gain because no matter how blessed they are, they are perpetually empty inside and therefore can never have enough. I dont know -- its been a hard year and Im weary of many things. I think Im going to just watch Frozen and tune out for a bit. Being in the world is hard sometimes.
