I hope all of u had di great pleasure 2 witness today’s FULL MOON PENUMBRAL ECLIPSE. If u looked east, above the horizon, the moon looked dusty, cloudy…more like, scary spooky. I wish wed have da same look this coming Halloween; it’d be better yet if we had it on a HALLOWEEN, on a FRIDAY, THE 13th. Unfortunately, di Americas kud only see part of the eclipse’s effect since it is comparatively light during the hours the eclipse peaks. Those in Europe, Africa, and the Near-East had the best show, as the eclipse peaked during the dark late-night hours. A Penumbral lunar eclipse is when di Moon passes through the ‘faint’ penumbral part of da Earth’s shadow — you can expect 2 c a notable darkening/reddening of da Moon as it passes through da shadow. The red tint that da Moon possesses during such eclipses is due to da fact that as da Sun’s light is filtered through the Earth’s atmosphere much of da ‘blue light’ is eliminated, leaving only di reddish hues. This is wat a Full Penumbral Lunar Eclipse lux like. I will alert u when we get 2b the lucky ones 2 appreciate great celestial beauty.
