I hope and wish that this country can take the mood and values of this holiday season and use it to start to enact real change for everyone. I wish a Happy Holidays to those who are suffering or feel marginalized, and I wish a Happy Holidays to those who have been put in a bad light by the actions of a few. All lives matter. All lives are important. As a people, we need to put ourselves in someone elses shoes for a day and understand what life is like for those who live differently than ourselves. It saddens me to wake up on Christmas morning, and my Facebook feed is still full of reports and videos highlighting the injustices that some have to live with everyday. This world is so much more special than we have allowed ourselves to remember. The odds have always been against us ever existing in the first place, and we take life for granted. I apologize for being overly pithy. I just hope that this time of year can be as special for everyone as it needs to be. Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate. I love you all and theres nothing you can do about it.
