I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Dale would have loved to have been here with all of us to celebrate. But he is up in Heaven where the real celebrating is going on. I wanted to update everyone since we got the autopsy report. I had to let this soak in a little bit before I sent out messages, because it just seems so strange. The report says that the cause of death was Centrilobular Emphysema, not a heart attack as most of as has just assumed. As most of you know, most people that die from emphysema are heavy smokers, and as most of you probably know, Dale did not smoke...at all. So, as I have tried to put two and two together with talking with friends and family - It may have been a combination of being a fireman and inhaling smoke, riding his motorcycle without a helmet and for the past few years, working in the Propane industry. And, there could have been some genetics going on here too. My grandfather died from emphysema, but he was a smoker. So, I just wanted to let everyone know who has been concerned. Im sure he had no idea that he had this condition or he would have told one of us about it or would have been getting treated for it. He did have a cough that was like a clearing of his throat which I just thought was alergies. So, if you are not feeling well or have a persistant condition - get it checked out for your loved ones. I so wish we would have known so we could have gotten some sort of possible treatment. Thanks for all your love, support and prayers. Dawn Luck Ezell
