I hope everyone has a wonderful new year! Never be afraid to step out into the wilderness and pave a new path for yourself. Let curiosity fill your sails and the final destination always be around the next bend. To honor this gift of life that is far too fleeting, I have recently decided to begin a 2600 mile journey to San Diego, CA in hopes of continuing this adventure and finding a little more opportunity for myself. Ill be spending at least 6 months traveling up & down the coast between San Diego and San Francisco and could not be more excited about the adventures that lay ahead. Over 150 farmers markets in the region, Kamikaze shows on Sunset Blvd....Can you believe it?! I cant wait to show everyone. I loved my time in Florida and met so many wonderful, caring & generous people. I just wish I had more luck finding venues and events that offered compensation as 80% of the work I did down here was busking for tips. A special thanks to OMaddys, the EDGE Market, the Tampa Downtown Market and the two private parties who showed their support by hiring me to perform at their events. It really helps you feel the love and it is such a wonderful gift to have a home away from home. To all the incredible people at the St. Petersburg Farmers Market, words can not express the pure joy you brought into my life. It was such a privilege to entertain you all and I had so much fun singing these classic tunes! Unannounced and unpaid, I showed up last year not knowing what to expect but after 3 weeks of successfully entertaining the masses, I was officially invited to come back on a weekly basis. Still no payment and still having to camp out for the parking spot close to 24hrs in advance, it was always worth the trouble as thousands of people walked by each week and everyone took such good care of me.....I made so many friends, so many memories. It certainly makes you feel special and suddenly all the sacrifice seems justified. Suddenly you get a glimpse of your full potential and it is breathtaking. I will never forget you guys and will take you with me everywhere I go, as you are the reason I get to continue on this journey! Below are my last 3 shows in Florida, I really hope I get to see you all before I leave! Dec 31 - NYE First Night at South Straub Park --- 7pm-1am Jan 3rd - St. Pete Saturday Morning Market --- 9am-2pm Jan 10th - St. Pete Saturday Morning Market --- 9am-2pm I am eager to watch St. Petersburg continue to grow and will hopefully find a way to visit you guys every few years. I look forward to keeping in touch with all my lovely Floridian & Midwestern friends via the monthly web-shows and you can expect lots of updates once I get to California. I am hoping that a new booking approach and the plethora of opportunity along the west coast will make for a good year as Ild really like to be performing 3-4 times a week. Its time to operate this truck at its full potential! Never sell yourself short my friends. Set your expectations high, as it is very rare to meet anyone who will value your life more than you do yourself. Believe in yourself, work your ass off, aim for the stars and have a wonderful 2015!
