I hope it is ok to post this educational information: There are a few people posting that saying they are Certified Instructor/Coaches; when they are not. If you are looking and want to make sure that the Instructor/Coach you choose is in fact Certified go to the HCBC website and there will be a list of Equine Canada Certified Instructor/Coaches ~ hcbc.ca/Certified-Coaches.html? Horse Council BC provides listings of recognized, current, and Certified Coaches and Instructors in BC. Current means that the Coach or Instructor has submitted all the required paperwork which includes current first aid certificate, criminal record search, memberships and updating hours or update clinic on file at HCBC. Missing one or more of the required documents would remove a Coach/Instructor from current status but does not remove their certification. It does not look great for us that work so hard for this (time and money) when a client may choose a person who is misrepresenting. That client may not give another Instructor/Coach a chance to show them the right way of what we were educated to teach. I hope this does not upset anyone I just want new horse people to understand the difference. If someone is not Certified and is not advertising as such I am not saying not to work with them as they maybe great horseman, I am just talking about the ones who are faulsly advertising.
