I hope it is safe for me to post this here. This will be partially DIY related. Delete if you wish. Just some thoughts from a lady who is just a day or two short of a month of being offically old. This may get me banned, but I have to say it. Ive been sitting here thinking a lot of things over. Ive come a long way in almost a year and a half. From smoking to vaping in a day, literally a day. I love vaping. I also love making my own e-liquid and helping others as much as I can, when I can. Ive made a lot of friends (who I have never met in person, and probably never will), Ive got a few enemies as well. You can please everyone. I used 808 Ds, egos, when I first started. My 808s have long since died, and yes, sometimes I miss them, Tlhey were handy for quick trips out and when I forgot to charge my egos. I have mods, I own a REO, with the help of my friends, got it for my 1 year vaperversary. As long as I keep batteries charged it is reliable. Does it vape any better than my K100? No. Does a VAMO vape better than an ego, I dont think so. Id had people tell me that I need to get a ProVari. I cannot afford that one, and I accept the fact that I will probably never own one. To me it is not the price of your toys. What matters to me is that I am not doing analogs. I dont care if you use a clone or original. I say use what is within your budget, be it clone or original. As long as it is safe. I use RDAs and build coils, Im not a cloud chaser. It is fine for others, but not what I want to do. I dont sub ohm, but others do, its just not my thing. Again, as long as its done safely. I still use cartos, and clearos, and have a couple of carto tanks that I use. I love my REO, thank you to the friends who helped me get it, I just fill that 6 ml bottle and it last me most of the day. I started DIY over a year ago and love it. Since then a lot of things have changed. A lot of research has been done, which I have read. Yes, there are many flavorings that contain diacetyl and acetyl, but there are also many that do not, as far as we know. Key words: as far as we know. I think that each and every one of us should do our homework, do the research for ourselves, get informed, make an informed decision on what we will or will not vape. Once we make that decision, we should continue to be informed because things are changing almost constantly. I still vape most of what I vaped over a year and a half ago, but my choice, and it is an informed choice. I also believe that we should LISTEN to our BODIES because they will let us know what they dont like. I know mine sure does with a few mixes Ive made. A month ago I mixed my first ever Vanilla Custard. Yes, I like it. Will I vape it? On occasion. Does my body like it? Not so much as my taste buds. Ive tried Pluid. That one HURT me. My body will not stand for it at all. Everyones body is different, but I think we should listen to it when it speaks. There is still a LOT that we DONT know about our flavorings and the combinations of flavorings that we use. In time, we may, but for now we dont. Yes, we can promote the positive, but we also should inform and continue to inform about the diacetyl and Acetyl along with anything else harmful that may turn up in the future. As DIYers and vapers we cannot and should not bury our heads in the sand. It really makes me sad to see vapers at war with other vapers over their choice of flavorings, juice, mods or lack of mods. In the going on 2 years as a vaper and over a year as a DIYer have seen more drama than there is in an episode of a soap opera. People degrading others over their choice of mod, not having a mod, their choice of juice, their choice on using some flavorings. The vape community is not what it use to be and it is sad to see. We are all in this together, we all made the choice to switch, we all made the choice to DIY for many varied reasons. We should respect each other and their choices as long as they have been informed of the known risks of certain things. The whole point of this is it doesnt matter what equipment, juice, atty it is, be it clone or original, what matters is that we are not smoking.
