Currently we are looking for System Administrator Please find appended below a further detailed job description: Job Summary: Position: Desktop Engineer L1 Company: Mindlance Experience: 2 year to 4 years Location: Bangalore Company URL:- mindlance/ Skill Required:- • Desktop/Laptop on-site support and phone support; Printer/Fax support, Backup system support, updating current infrastructure, deploying new equipment. Voice Device support (Preferably Avaya IP phone and Analogue phone) • Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for hardware/software problems. When unable to resolve, escalate to second or third level in accordance with Help Desk escalation processes. • Coordinate overall ownership of user’s issue & service ensuring that they receive resolution within a reasonable timeframe. • Provide initial assessment of urgency and business impact on all support calls. • Manage service requests, software installations, new computer setups, upgrades, etc. • Record incident resolutions in the Help Desk tool. • IT Assets Inventory management. • Support the following technologies: Microsoft Office all products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, Windows XP/7/8, desktops, laptops, printers, NIC’s, basic LAN/WAN connectivity and others as assigned • Monitor daily backups. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • Ability to communicate well with internal and external contacts. Requirement Description: • Systems Availability Management – Ensure maximum Systemavalability Develop and manage processes designed to meet or exceed services levels for application availability. • Capacity Management – Create and manage forecasting processes designed to ensure computing, network, support, and other infrastructure capabilities are adequate for business environment needs. • Windows operating system installation and configuration, support and maintenance including user account and machine account maintenance on Windows servers • Experience in troubleshooting of Desktop, laptop, outlook & Hardware installation, maintenance and repair • Handle desktop/laptop calls and basic network printer trouble shooting • Avaya VoIP phone system support • Network Connectivity Support (Basic Connectivity Support for all End-User Devices - Wired and Wireless • Should have troubleshooting experience for MS Office, Windows OS, Internet explorer, Outlook, Active Directory, Basic Networking knowledge, and VPN • Knowledge in Configuration Firewalls, Switches, LAN, WAN, Routers • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Candidate should be willing to work in shifts Desired Skills and Experience • Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent in IT or technology related discipline. • 1-4 years of experience in IT including IT experience in the software, hardware and or similar IT industry. • History of solving challenging problems. • Must have proven desktop technical skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Must enjoy working with end users and have the desire to provide excellent customer service. • Ability to make sound decisions, and take independent action. • Flexible working hours may be required should situations arise. Occasional travel may be required • Should be available for 24/7 support. • Microsoft MCP/ MSCE certification desirable • Knowledge and experience of networking in a Windows environment including experience with Terminal Services • Good to have knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory • Experience with IP phones (Avaya) system setup, Installation and troubleshooting • Experience with PC and printer hardware repair and upgrades. • An ability to communicate issues and solutions clearly to end users as well as document them in a trouble ticket system • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • IT certification (ITIL) or equivalent preferred.
