I hope that when members of the Law Society of BC cast their ballots by October 30th, they will be mindful of the gravity of their decision. I ask all members of the Law Society of BC to stand for the fundamental Canadian right of freedom of religion and freedom of belief. The issue is about Trinity Western University’s Community Covenant, which has already been ruled lawful by the Supreme Court of Canada. Trinity Western’s Community Covenant does not forbid graduates from fulfilling the obligations and oaths of their chosen professions.
