I hope this doesnt come across as being a whiner or weeny. I’ve mentioned my headaches a few times in recent weeks. Here’s an update. I’ve had a continuous headache with only a couple of days of relief over the past two months. I’ve had blood work, x-rays and sleep test, but nothing my doctor has tried has relieved the headache for more than a day. I was greatly fatigued by the constant pain, but the fatigue has gotten better with some Vitamin/hormone therapy. I can’t take common prescription pain meds because of allergies (that’s probably a good thing; wouldn’t want to become dependent). My doctor has taken me off all over the counter pain meds as well (aspirin, ibuprofen, Excedrin, etc). There is a possibility that I’m experiencing “rebound headaches” because of taking these common pain meds for so long. The only way to treat “Rebounding headaches” is go cold turkey for up to 3 weeks. It’s been a week since I’ve taken anything for pain and I’m still having headaches. My only treatment currently is ice, heat and essential oil. Because I’ve seen little improvement, on Tuesday I will be having an MRI to rule out the possibility of a tumor or aneurism. This headache is not a sick headache/migraine. It does fluctuate in intensity and pressure. Please remember me and Rita in your prayers. Pray for healing soon. -- Rev Kev
