I hope this is a reasonable topic to post. Its about as bridging of a divide as I can think of. This has been floating around out there for a little while now, but I loved what Mike Crapo had to say about this. To clarify what Id love to discuss with people here, would you like to see these start to pave your streets instead of asphalt? Here near Seattle, we have a regular Snowmageddon due to extra wet, heavy snow and steep hills. The replacement of streets with these hexes would save our city, literally, millions on plowing and damages to personal and public property. Would your cities/towns equally benefit? And, even if the initial cost is high, do you think that the energy savings and other savings based on reduced crashes et al. would be worth it for you to advocate such replacements?
