I hope this is ok for me to post, if not please feel free to remove it. I was wondering if anyone might have suggestions for a trainer for my Saint Bernard. I was diagnosed with cancer last May and went thru chemo and radiation. I realized that there are many folks who were fighting that same battle alone, and it broke my heart. I am currently on disability for nerve damage,which may or may not be permanent, and thought what better thing to do with my time than take my wonderful Saint to comfort those in the hospital! I unfortunately dont have the funds to pay for the training for him to get therapy dog certified, due to my cut in pay and my human baby whom was born the month before I was diagnosed. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! I would be willing to assist a trainer with other classes in exchange for training for Jethro. He has the right attitude and demeanor! I know he would excel as much as loves people! This cause is near and dear to me, thank you for your advice.
