I hope this is okay to post here, Many of you will know my sister Ashleigh Valkenburg. From either horses or seeing her friendly face down at the Whittlesea IGA. Hey everyone, Meet Major; For those that dont know, Ashleigh bought Major back in April this year. Early August Major fell really sick with Colic, which resulted in Maj needing emergency surgery. As always, Ashleigh puts her animals needs above and beyond her own, she decided to undergo the surgery, and to do everything she could to help her boy. Ashleigh works her butt off nearly every day, as well as attending TAFE and caring for her other mare. She has picked up as much work as she can to support Major, however the physical and financial burden is huge. Major is now about to be put onto a drug that will be costing Ashleigh $70 a week, thats not including all the other bills, feed and bedding that is being incurred. Even if Its just $1 that you can donate, that dollar means that it is one step closer for Major to reach full recovery. Ashleigh is very lucky to have the support she has already. There are so many friends and family that have offered help and its amazing to see such a diverse group of people band together to help someone in need. Thankyou everyone who has been there along the way for Ashleigh, It means so much not only to her, but also to her family that can see the toll that this is doing to our Ashleigh and her beloved her Major.
