I hope this would reach whoever responsible for alkawthar hospital, and I hope I can help someone by posting this. To me, its medical negligence no matter how trivial some people might think. The story is that I went for some medical tests in the lab of al kawthar hospital, however they directed me to the emergency unit ( which was very quiet) the nurse asked the dr, who was available but for some reason told her to take the blood sample instead of him, no idea why really! She asked me to choose a bed to sit on where one had a bedeh full of urine mixed with blood right next to the bed ( they seemed to have plenty of time to clean that but obviously didnt) anyway I chose the other one and when it came to drawing blood she didnt even wear gloves (while she had two boxes full of them, but no she thought they are just a replacement for the belt they use in labs to spot a vein. The plaster she ripped it open with her mouth. Anyway I went to use the bathroom, it was filthy, smelled awful and there was no liquid hand soap or sanitizer just a bar of soap which looked filthy to me! Anyway the nurse came to take the urine sample where she gave me another glove to put the plastic jar in it, and she held it from the glove, the question is does she really think this is sanitary, where do they wash their hands, does she really think its ok to come in contact with patients urine/blood without the gloves, and then handle the next patient? ! Sorry for the long story, Im super angry at myself first for not pointing out all this right on the spot to someone in charge there and angry at the low level of medical care we are being offered!
