I hope to see all the children (both june joiners and vijadasami joines) back on monday. It will be VERY IMPORTANT to get them back into routine immediately. It is best to have bedtimes earlier once again for Saturday and sunday night. If your child does not get back to sleeping early on these nights, I can guarantee that your child will be impossible to wake monday morning. Will some children cry and say they want to stay home? Probably. For many children this will seem like the first day of school all over again. However, keeping them home will not help them in the long run. Eventually, they have to come back. Getting them back to school with the others will be best. What can you tell them? • Remind them of particular friends by name and talk to your child about seeing their friends again. • Maybe make a special picture to give to a friend theyve missed- • Ask them what special food they would like for their first day back and pack that. • Get a treat together which you will keep for them at home until they come home from school. • Tell them that you be busy that day and you cant keep them home with you. • Give extra hugs and feelings of safety and love as you say goodbye BUT no tears, Mom or Dad. I know some parents might have a hard time letting go on Sunday but please appear cheerful for the sake of your child. • Lastly, I am preparing a special TOM AND JERRY book project this week. I knew I had to do something extra fun. I need everyone to come to school and make their special TOM AND JERRY book. Do you think we need to watch some TOM AND JERRY cartoons too? I truly miss the children and hope that our first day back together is an easy one. Thank you in advance for all you can do to help. :)
