I hope you all had a beautiful day with friends and family yesterday! :) Holiday screw-up story for you. A little background is needed first. Long story short, Im obsessive about warranties, screen protectors, anything that will ensure the survival of psychotically expensive technological items. That said, I received a much needed new iPad from my extremely thoughtful and generous brother yesterday. I tried to put one of those crazy protective screen covers on it--you know, the one thats military grade, scratch proof, nothing is getting by this baby. I totally screwed it up--waste of about $30.00 in all of one second! I kid you not. Has to be a record. The cash would have incinerated slower. I will be taking the baby iPad to Apple and letting them do a new one for me--I find I am inept at some very simple things these days. I usually end up watching movies most of Christmas day. I was going to take my dad to see American Sniper yesterday, but it was only playing in Hollywood, so that was a bit too far. As far as movies go, Im not an old / classic movie person really. I begrudgingly watched Gone With the Wind a long time ago with my mom and ended up liking it. Last night, however, I put off my annual Godfather fest, because I got caught up watching the new version of Carrie (yes, on Christmas) and then watched a movie called An Affair to Remember, with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. The box of Kleenex wasnt enough. Absolute blubbering mess. Then I passed out early, which is an oddity in itself. Should have stuck with horror. Rob Zombies Devils Rejects or something...Otis never makes me cry! ;) Since Im not feeling the best today, Im going back to tradition. Im about to curl up in bed under a million blankets and let the Godfather marathon commence! Have a lovely weekend! :) Be safe.
