I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with your families! We had a nice, quiet Thanksgiving here. I got to spend Friday hanging out and shopping with my mom...something we dont get to do often, especially since Ive been sick. Then Saturday Nick and I went out with my sister and her husband to a movie and dinner. It was nice to be out of the house for a while for something other than a dr. appt. and especially on a Saturday, when Im usually not feeling well after chemo. I am on my eighth day without my pain patch medicine, and have only taken a small handful of pain meds in the past two weeks. This is a HUGE improvement from just a few weeks ago. Usually by mid afternoon Ive been up doing too much and regret it, but Im trying hard to keep taking it easy. Today Ive spent much of the day on the couch. :) My neuropathy continues to bother me, but after three doses of the medicine I was prescribed to help with the symptoms, I got pretty sick and decided to quit taking it. I figured two more weeks of chemo and numb fingers was more bearable than being sick all day. Just thought Id pass along an update, since several people asked how Ive been at church on Sunday. Two more days of chemo on the schedule and then hopefully well have some news to share. Keep praying friends! The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. Psalm 118:14
