I hope you appreciate these photos that I took of some mammatus - TopicsExpress

I hope you appreciate these photos that I took of some mammatus clouds on the backside of the thundery downpour in Bracknell this morning – I had to take a slight diversion on the way to work to get a decent view – and subsequently got stung by some kind of insect in return! Tonight will be dry and not as warm as recent nights at around 14C. Tuesday may see some areas of cloud in the morning, but increasing amounts of sunshine in the afternoon. Very warm, 25C should be reached. Clear and dry overnight, 14C. Wednesday will see more in the way of sunshine - a very nice day with some fair weather cloud around. Very warm, around 24C. Clear overnight, 13C. Thursday will be sunny in the morning, much more cloud for the afternoon. 25C could just be squeezed. Cloudy overnight, a small chance of a spot of light rain but mostly dry, 13C. Friday sees low pressure develop to our north or north-west, some uncertainty as to the exact location at the moment. The most likely outcome is a day of some sunshine and plenty of heavy showers. There is a 40% chance that we may well hang onto the dry and warm weather. Temperatures between 21C and 24C depending on weather conditions. The weekend is not set for definite but Saturday does look like a day with lots of heavy showers, hail and thunder included and around 21C. Sunday should see high pressure build again to give a fine and warm day, at around 23C. A small chance of a shower. There is a small chance that the dry and warm weather may just hang on in the south to give two fine days - but expect the above unless I update. Sunday could also downgrade to heavy showers. It is nowhere near as bad as what was being modelled! Next week looks like a battle between high pressure close to the east, and low pressure in the Atlantic so likely to remain changeable with fine days, and showery days. I suspect pressure will rise from the south-west somewhere between 10th and 15th August to give another very warm spell. However the models have hinted at a US East Coast hurricane during the first half of August which can have significant impacts on our weather - both good and bad so I shall keep my cards close to my chest. I wish you a good week - I am off to go tidy the house as we have someone coming to view the spare room - if anyone wants to rent a single room in a nice house with weather forecasts on tap, let me know!
