I hope you are all aware of the proposed closures of Staines (Ashford Hospital) and Sunbury Fire Stations which will mean that instead of 2 appliances between them, there will only be 1 in a new station to cover our area. Homes and businesses will be in more danger, rescues will not happen on the river or from car accidents. Public Consultations are being held; Today - 17.9.2013 @ 19.00 at Hengrove Scout HQ, Hengrove Park, Station Cres, Ashford TW13 3HN 25.9.2013 @ 19.00 at Staines Community Centre, Thames Street, Staines TW18 4EA 10.10.2013 @ 19.00 at Sunbury Manor School, Nursery Road, Sunbury TW16 6LF.... PLEASE show your support by attending the meetings and like / share / copy / email this post to as many people you know as we are ALL going to be majorly affected, when fire and rescue services ought to be INCREASED in our borough NOT CUT!!!!
