I hope you dont mind me posting this here. I live in the United States and were in the sheep and cattle business and we use dogs for herding. Several years ago we were in New Zealand and nearly everyone there fed meat to their dogs - buying feed from a store was virtually unheard of, With many of the stations in Australia being as remote as they are what do you guys feed farm dogs other than meat? Id like to know of a mix we can make ourselves without having to buy feed for $1,000 a ton like it costs here. Love our dogs and the work they do but it can sure cost lots of $$$ to keep them - and if it didnt cost so much wed have more of them.
