I hope you will read this even though it may be pretty long. I have had something on my mind for awhile so Im going to act on it. Home of Grace is a Christian Rehabilitation facility in Vancleave, MS. which is north of Biloxi/Ocean Springs. It offers a recovery program for those (both men & women) with addictions. God, through HofG has touched our familys life as well as many others in our community and across the nation. Started in 1965 by Bro. Bill Barton with little more than a dream, a calling, a mission and prayers, HofG will celebrate 50 years of service to those in need, in 2015!! The current director, Josh Barton, stated in the Fall Newsletter, I can only imagine the ups and downs faced by both my father and grandfather in their seasons of running the Home of Grace. Bro. Bill, when getting the ministry off the ground, had no power, no water, no staff and no budget, but as he began loving and caring for the men who came for help, God showed him the fruits of his labor. The newsletter included a list of needs that I am going to share with my FB friends. I am asking anyone who can and would like to contribute any of these things to call me (985-515-1789). I will be glad to pick up or meet you somewhere. Our family will deliver the things to HofG before Christmas. If you can, please wrap the items and attach a card Merry Christmas Home of Grace from (your name) and (your address). Please write on the card the name of the items you are contributing. These are the items needed: new blankets(twin) and pillows, new towels and washcloths, new twin size sheets & bedding, kleenex, 13 gal. garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies (pine sol, cleaner with bleach, disinfectant wipes & glass cleaner), vacuum cleaners, riding lawn mower. I am adding that you can also contribute a gift card to some place like wal-mart, target, etc. or make a monetary contribution via check or money order and made payable to Home of Grace. No item or amount is too small!! Also, HofG is asking that people send a Christmas card to a resident to let them know you are praying for them. Just write on the outside of the envelope whether it is for a man or woman, and mail to Home of Grace, P.O. Box 5009, Vancleave, MS 39565. Whether you are able to contribute or not, I ask that you keep Home of Grace, and the men and women they are helping, in your prayers. Thank you so much!!
