I hunted my first 12 years with a Marlin 336 Carbine in a 35 - TopicsExpress

I hunted my first 12 years with a Marlin 336 Carbine in a 35 Remington. Loved that gun. Dead nuts accurate. I dropped it a few years back and it never shot the same. After that I bought a beautiful 1988 Remington 7600 in a 35 Whelen. I didnt try the gun before I bought it because they are legendary. Ive hunted with it for 3 years, killed two bucks with it, but Ive never really liked it much. It is about 5-6 longer than my 336, the trigger is 4 times as hard to pull with 4 times as much creep, and I honestly dont think I can shoot it much faster than my lever. The Marlin fits me like a glove. Ive seriously been thinking about selling it and buying another Marlin lever action carbine. Im just worried Ill regret it. If I keep the 7600 it will be getting a trigger job and it will be getting cut down to a carbine. Thoughts?
