I interviewed an old WWII fella once who was in his eighties, living on his own and still running his farm. I asked him whether he was a smoker. "We all smoked like green logs", he said. I remarked on his good health for his age and he told me that was a family trait: "All my brothers lived well into their nineties and they were all active right up to the day of their funeral" The old, dry Australian humour.
