I invite all Guthrie Residents to attend the City Council meeting tonight at 7pm. I rarely speak up on city politics. Heres the deal : Tonights vote on the CVB money - if this gets the votes, We might just go ahead and close every business in town. The city manager is over stepping her bounds. I have never met her , even thou I paid for all the wine for her meet n greet at the pollard when she came to town. Not even a thank u. You guys (city council members) are well educated, and god gave you a brain. Please use it. I supported all of u when u ran for city council. So please support the people and not just one person wearing a skirt. I am very mad about this deal going down. We, the people, put TRUST in you people to make honest n earnest decisions. If you can not do those two things, then I suggest u step aside and let someone else decide the faith of Guthrie. I heard thru the grapevine that most city council people are standing behind this vote. Tsk tsk. Not good. Not good for the people of Guthrie or the businesses. We r almost a ghost town. If this gets approval, we will be a ghost town. I sell real estate. Last week two different buyers came to town. As I was showing houses, they decided not to move here. Why u ask? Look around , no pride of ownership. Get the city manager to get the city code enforcer off his ass and drive the streets of Guthrie. Start writing tickets n see the income received. Recliners, mattresses and dead cars do not cut it folks. This is my two cents. But if the shoe fits..... Think of the people!
