I invite you to meet Chirp Chirp. Living in the PNW, we have populations of Hummers who winter over. I thought this happened everywhere. THe has been at my feeder for a few years, all seasons. I found him hanging from my feeder one morning this past Spring when we again hit freezing temps, n spite of lights on the feeder to help warm it. This is a bad pic, but it was extremely early in the morning and in total glee he survived. I have more pics and video of him talking to me (thus his name). So thankful wed built this relationship over the years so he totally trusted me when he awoke and didnt over stress and pass (and this year, I have revised my plan for the winter feeder).
