I joined this group a couple of weeks ago because my daughter who is a student at BU found a skinny cat who followed her home. She took him in and gave him some food and water. She let him out later on as she was going out and and she hasnt seen him since. The reason Im posting now is because she went to visit another student house and they have adopted a cat. Apparently its quite common! I expect the students are missing their own pets back home so are encouraging other peoples cats by feeding them. The worry is that when they leave, the cats are likely to be abandoned :/ Is there a trend that more cats go missing when students move in? They need educating on the consequences!
