I just adore my darling HENRY J. We did some research online about kittens and bad behavior. As it turns out, you should wait until your kitten is 12 weeks old or more before you take them from their mommies. Henry J was 8 weeks. In the last few weeks from 8 to 12, is when they learn tons of stuff. Like how to play properly without hurting. And how to behave, the former being taught by his litter mates, the latter by his mom. So Stephen Pelky and I had to teach him these things ourselves. Sometimes with a time out, thats right, it works most of the time. Sometimes with a squirt of the water bottle, which works in more stubborn behavior, and then sometimes with a quick flick on the ear, which works in the most severe cases. Always re enforced by love, hugs and kisses. He has learned well and has become a wonderful, fun, playful energetic loving cat. Hes in my arms right now as I write this.
