I just arrived in Philadelphia and the Eagles Nation ain too happy about the football game last night against their archival the Dallas Cowboys -- but its still the City of Brotherly Love. My heart does go out to the victims of the random shooting just north of the City. I am here again at the Omni Hotel at Independence Hall -- typing and overlooking the birthplace of our nation, our Constitutional Republic. This time Ive been given the distinct honor of attending the 6th Annual Feast of the Seven Fishes and named the National Person of the Year. See, this is the real America. The one that says no matter where you are born or where you come from -- youll be rewarded for your efforts and determination. This fella from Atlantas Old Fourth Ward came from a loving two-parent household that taught him self-esteem comes from doing esteemable things as you pursue great endeavors. The real conversation we should be having right now -- not the one of victimization and subservience to the welfare nanny-state. God bless you and thanks Buck and Snooks West!
