I just asked Facebook to deactivate the profile I started with here in 2007. Because there was no option to add a secondary email back in those days I lost the site when I moved at that time because my internet provider did not allow us to keep those addresses at that time. There was also no clear option to deactivate back then or if there was I had no idea. It has been dead but there for years and many times I have wanted to go and recover things from that site and been unable to. I even tried regedit and auto saved passwords only to find that when my IE was reloaded from a virus I caught the original information was no longer available. Facebook has been asked many times, by many people, for the same reasons, to see if old profiles can be merged with new ones but that option does not exist. With some regret I finally gave in and asked them to deactivate my old account. Some of you who know me now would be shocked to find out just how long we have been friends. You dont remember that me...I was very different back then....extremely political and if you think I am hot tempered now you know nothing... :P I had that profile when I could still walk and work and still believed I had a chance to marry for love one last time. I was a different person then....I met a very few of you the year I set up that profile in 2007. I was even friends with some of those I connected to you at that profile that you are friends with now who have no idea I am the person I was then...Life is so strange. Hmmmm.... I selected the only option left: To ask Facebook to bury that me. Goodbye old me...It was nice knowing you.
