I just bought my first jeep a couple weeks ago. Its a 93 yj with the 2.5l. I bought it as a project and as I expected I have ran into a problem. I was riding down the road and it started to give out and then just shut off like it ran out of gas. It now will start for a few seconds every now and then but either shuts off by it self or if you press the gas. I know its not an electrical problem as Ive ruled that out. Its getting fuel to the fuel rail but I still have to check the amount of pressure its getting to it. Im thinking fuel filter or pump or possible vacuum problem. Any thoughts or other similar problems and fixes?
