I just came across a status that left me astounded. The lady posting the status told a story of how she found out yesterday that she had an aggressive form of cancer, given only a few months of healthy life before severe intervention would be needed. She went on to post about how she was getting her affairs in order, and canceling her next few appointments with the doctors, choosing to meet with her Pastor and pray fervently instead. (Shes looking at her cancer as a plane ticket to fly and be with Jesus as soon as possible.) She stated that she doesnt believe in doctors or modern medicine but she will fully rely on God to heal and cure her stage 4 pancreatic cancer. . . . What? 😒 I want to feel remorse or sympathy for individuals with this belief, but I cant bring myself to it. I understand youre religious, thats your right. But to literally give up and refuse all medical treatment because youre expecting your God to just fully eradicate an aggressive disease. . . I just cant.
