I just came across this post from US Senator Mike Lee of Utah, a Republican claiming that the 1st amendment has been cancelled by this bill sending spears of fear into the hearts of all that read his commentary. The constitution says WE THE PEOPLE not we the corporations........ I dont know about this person, Mike Lee is a Republican and possibly a neocon type. Has anyone here actually looked at the resolution yet? Im still searching but what I found is that this resolution takes corporations out of the electoral process by limiting election funds. Neocons have tried to pull the wool over our eyes trying to convince us that corporate money equates to free speech and they got the supreme court to support them in unlimited funding in the electoral process... something Justice Ginsburg says she has lived to regret. This bill limits that as far as I can tell. THIS IS GOOD! Now you wont have a powerful rich corporation overriding your electoral process with funds to a candidate of their choice. Remember corporations dont always have the best interest of the Amerian citizen. Many avoid paying takes, seek unjust environmental protections and other slights of hand. They pay politicians to do their bidding and hold them on a leash. If anyone finds an actual link to the bill please post it. Lets really take a look at it!!
