I just came back after watching PK, and i still feel bewildered. After a year of unalloyed trash generated by box office sharks, there is finally a movie for Indians that value their intelligence and hard earned money. A light hearted and funny movie with such a strong message that most Indians refuse to understand or acknowledge, portrayed in such a humorous and amiable way. However thats not why im posting this status, to motivate people to watch this movie. I am disgusted by the reaction of present day teenagers towards PK; who are simply shrugging it off, and deeming it as boring. These same teenagers who take less than a second to post long answers on ask.fm antagonising society. They are the future society, and if they cant appreciate such movies, portraying important issues extremely relevant to our country then i believe they are just as bad as our present one. Even if its just a movie, its message can be taken so many levels, if people actually took it seriously and cared. Teenagers are willing to spend their money watching non sensical movies such as Happy New Year, and call it a fun experience but watch PK and call it deep and boring. I dont understand this mentality, and am sick of the same people pretending to care about the issues of the world by posting pictures and statuses about the deaths in Pakistan and crisis taking places in other countries but refuse to do or say anything about the problems in their very own country. PK is a beautiful movie, and Raju Irani deserves a pat in the back. Even something as small as acknowledging the significance of this movie and appreciating it, is a step and hopefully adopting some new idealogies which can be passed on to others. I am going to stop ranting now, cause i think ive made my point :p
